This is an excellent milk stout, balanced and lower abv (4.6%), more like a traditional British milk stout than many American ones which are often fairly high abv ov 6% or more, and not as sweet some some of the more traditional British or new American ones can be, while still maintaining a firm sweetness.
Deep chestnut, not quite black, it has a moderately large tan head steadily shrinking to thin wispy foam and foamy ring, hints of lace.
Aroma is nice dark toast, dried black figs, brown bread.
Taste has balanced bitterness and sweetness, both making a strong presence while still being gentle. It has a caramelized burnt sugar sweetness with some dried fig and woody-roasty bitterness. Feel is lively, lighter than some milk stouts and a but more like a really good traditional British porter in feel, but wonderful.
This is a highly drinkable beer.

L: This beer pours black with a one-finger tan head that quickly fades into a thin ring of foam around the rim of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
S: I mainly got a coffee aroma, with some roasted malt in there. While it didn't smell bad, it didn't seem to have a strong aroma to it.
T: Coffee bean right off the bat. Then some roasted malts. As the beer warmed, more flavors cropped up, getting more of a dark chocolate and some caramel in there. Pretty flavorful.
F: It had a lighter feel as opposed to the heavier feel I'd expect from stouts. Low carbonation makes it a smooth drink and at warmer temperatures it felt thicker and creamier.
O: At colder temperatures, like the temperature coming from a fridge, this beer has a singular coffee flavor. To get the most out of this beer I think it should be consumed at warmer temperatures to let the other flavors stand out. Overall an enjoyable beer.

Best Milk Stout west of the Mississipi. Nice chocolate notes with a hint of coffee and milk. The beer has a bit of a citrus taste at the end balanced by the malt profile. Really good beer.

Pleasant enough taste, but felt very thin and flat. Very little head and carbonation. Not a winner for me.
