Pint at the Happy Viking. Medium gold, clear, patchy head. Aromaa brings light malty notes, grain, pinch of hops. Taste picks up the hoppiness to a nice bite, but is kind of lacking in overall flavor.

Wonderfully not overwhelming. Maybe even elegant.

Beautiful orange gold hue, immediate aroma of tropical citrus in the pour and taste seems to exactly match the aroma. The feel is surprisingly thin and carbonation very minimal - one the initial lacing and tiny bit of head from the pour pass the hop/spice come more forward (feels like it quickly 'warms'). Great way to get familiar with mosaic and an overall interesting AND drinkable pale ale...

From a 650 ml bomber (bottled July 27, 2016) to a nonic glass. Reviewed from notes dated August 3, 2016.
A-The beer has a light chill haze, but is otherwise clear and light amber in color. A fat finger of off-white foam hangs around for quite a while and leaves chunks of lace on the glass. Some bubbles are visible in the beer.
S-The aroma is pungent and hoppy for a pale ale. The hops are floral and mostly tropical with suggestions of mango and a honeysuckle sweetness. Light pine notes give a hint of bitter balance to the tropical aromas. Malts are mild with just a hint of caramel and bread.
T-The taste is similar but not identical to the smell. On the palate, the beer has a more woody, pine-forward flavor that I would not have expected. I even get vague earthy onion notes on the finish. Not enough to do away with the otherwise tropical/floral notes, but enough to notice.
M-The body is medium in heft. It feels quite creamy and smooth for the style.
O-I bought this bottle on with no knowledge about the beer and came away pleased. Bike Dog Mosaic isn't the next Heady, but it packs a nice flavor and displays the Mosaic hops well. Would drink it again, but won't go searching for it.

Bottled on: 2/9/16. 5.5% ABV per the label.
Pours a hazy gold with a foamy bone head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Tiny streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of tropical fruit, citrus fruit, citrus juice, and slight dirty berry aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, tropical fruit, and earthy hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and dry mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is tasty, but the hops come through slightly better in the smell to me.
