The Edge of Time is a single oak aged Barleywine conditioned for 14 months in 2 Blanton’s Bourbon barrels. It is reminiscent of fine dry sherry, achieving a layered character of creme brûlée, bourbon drenched toasted almonds, hard crack toffee and a dried apricot and fig fruitiness. We recommend allowing your pour to warm to close to room temperature and allowing the carbonation to diminish so that all of the rich flavors may speak without restriction.

Sweet candied brown sugar, caramel-toffee toffee malty, and bourbon barrel nose on this one! Taste follows with a perfectly balanced, sweet caramel malty and oaky, bourbon barrel finish. Absolutely outstanding barleywine!

Quite dark, auburn/caramel look, which has a slight haze to it. Pours thickly. Rich, sweet bourbon, butterscotch, with the slightest vanilla & allspice, in the smell. Right away, during the taste, one notices the alcohol. Medium viscous mouthfeel. Sweet caramel, toffee and some of the toasted barrel, as it gets late in the taste. Finish is mainly a bourbon barrel and butterscotch flavor. An enjoyable sipper.
