A very smooth (but crisp), light (but not lightweight) Blonde Ale. My wife and I have been to the brewery several times and this is still one of our favorite Blonde Ales. It is finally starting to find its way around to a larger area. Great anytime.

12 ounce can into pint glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, lemon, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with pale/wheat malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, lemon, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit, honey, lemon, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome robustness of pale/wheat malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with and nice malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 5.5%. Overall this is an excellent American blonde ale! All around great robustness of pale/wheat malts and light earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Very clean and rich pale/wheat malt showcase; with light fruity yeast and earthy hop balance. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example.

My bro-in-law gave me a can of this....he said he wasn't a fan....while I'm not either....it is just ok. It poured a clear golden with no head and no lace. The scent had slight bread. The taste was evenly balanced and easy to drink but there wasn't much else. The Mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's ok but I wouldn't go looking for it.

Clear, copper hued body; thin head. Very little aroma; some cereal grain; some apple. Taste follows the aroma although more pronounced. Medium-heavy body; smooth and glassy.
Acceptable yet hardly memorable.

I have to wonder about a brewer from Amish country. There isn't a huge market down there. I'm not a fan of the religious cult or their "craftsmanship" (crude), but this ale is pretty good.
It is a nice translucent golden color with very little head. The aroma is a mild, fresh smell, a lot like others of the style. Nothing thrilling.
The taste is mild balanced malty taste with just a tad of hops bitters showing through. The aftertaste is mildly malty and yeasty.
This is a refreshing drink in a usually unexciting style. Don't expect to be wowed and you might be nicely satisfied.

Enjoyed from the can in a pint glass. This blonde pours a slightly hazy light golden with a moderate white head of dissipating foam the settles to a thick ring, spotty pool, and decent lacing. Nose of light honey, subtle wheat and grain notes, and little else. Flavor follow the nose with the exception of some sweet fruit notes of apple that blend nicely with the wheat and grain notes. Sweet aftertaste and moderate carbonation with a slightly watery finish and a taste of light metal that seems somewhat prevalent from this brewery that I would say has nothing to do with the fact it is in a can. Nothing too stand out, but a decent session brew.
Cheers
