I tried this at the brewery; it was part of a Valentine's Day Chocolate and Beer Pairing. This beer was paired with a milk chocolate square. It poured an opaque dark with thin off white ring head that did not leave much lace. The scent has hints of roast and cinnamon. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast and chocolate malt base and subtle cinnamon and pepper highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a decent beer.

Looks good, smells ok, taste alright until the aftertaste. Very, very, very ashy and bitter. Tastes like I stuck my tongue in an ashtray and chased it with a cheap black coffee that has been sitting in the pot for a couole days. Believe it or not, it has some potential. Nice body. Smooth and silky with rich oatmeal flavor in there. I wouldn't want this version again though.
