Enjoyed at the brewery, 1/28/22. Sweet and salty, peanut butter nose. Bright on the tongue right away. Slightly sweet, peanut buttery down the center of the tongue. Smooth yet not overly heavy mouthfeel. Definitely like this one!

I tried this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with thin off white head that did not leave much lace. The scent has bold peanut and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast and chocolate malt base and subtle peanut butter highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a very good beer.

L: Cracking open the can reveals a chocolately head. The brew itself is black. Guinness is dark amber. This is black.
S: Peanut butter biscuits with chocolate syrup. Smells palatable.
T: Tastes like chocolate and peanut butter. It helps that it's a malt beverage. It has a really nice cocoa bitter on the back palate that is particularly excellent. The rest of it is peanut butter biscuit. The flavor is great, the mouthfeel is what goes awry.
F: Sweet and syrupy. About as thick as a Guinness extra stout. Wet finish. Leaves you with like this, essence of peanut... and I like peanut butter too.
O: You'll like your first one, but it's a bit too artificial to enjoy for a long period of time. I haven't had 6 of these in a row yet, but I think my body would revolt if I did.

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a small khaki head that fades leaving solid retention and okay lacing. The aromas are loaded with peanut butter. Mild hints of chocolate and coffee. Malts are there. The flavors don't quite live up to the nose, but it still tastes just fine. The peanut butter seems to lead the way, but doesn't dominate. More hints of chocolate and coffee along with some marshmallow in the mix. Some roasted characteristics. Solid bitterness. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with moderate to active carbonation. It's pretty smooth.
This is a nice "peanut butter porter". The aromas steal the show, but everything else works.
