12 ounce can, no dating on it that I noticed but pretty sure it's a 2019 vintage. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head that fizzled away quickly. Not much lacing at all. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like rum, chocolate, vanilla and coconut. For the most part I think the taste is just like the aroma, but there's also the addition of some roasted malt flavor. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I was able to try this on-tap at the brewery a couple weeks ago, and I have to say I like the canned version better because it's not as sweet tasting for some reason. I liked this, it's worth picking up if you come across some. $12.99 a 4-pack (contains 2 cans of the Maple Bourbon Barrel and 2 cans of the Rum Barrel versions).

12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black with a small khaki head that fades leaving okay retention and lacing. The aromas are rum forward. Hints of vanilla, cocoa and coconut. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. More rum leading the way. More vanilla and cocoa. More hints of coconut in the mix. Mild warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Malts do their thing. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, somewhat light and pretty smooth. It's ultimately dangerously drinkable.

This is a pretty solid "rum-barrel stout". The rum shines and leads the way without completely dominating or being overwhelming. Not bad at all. I like it.
