12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours golden with some haze; small off-white head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing.
The aromas have a subtle blend of citrus and floral notes. There's a decent amount of caramel. There's a decent amount of crackers and breads as well. Malts are there.
The flavors basically follow the nose. More hints of citrus. Lots of caramel. More crackers and breads. Moderate bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time. It's probably on the juicier side. Alcohol is well hidden and goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is nice. It's full-bodied with active carbonation. It's sharp, crisp and slick.
This is an okay DIPA. It's honestly nothing too crazy. It's an old school example of the style, which I appreciate and am always a fan of, but this one is just missing a little something. It's still not bad or anything like that.
