Poured out of a 12 oz. can into my tulip glass, this beer pours a clear, dark amber/copper color with a white head that makes a hissing as it fizzes right after being poured. Like the head of soda pop does when you pour it into a glass. Head dissipates/settles almost immediately to a thin ring lining the inside of the glass. No lacing on the inside of the glass to speak of. Aromas of some bready malts along with fruity esters of sweet and also tart, just slightly sour blackberry along with slight funk notes. An extremely similar flavor, with bready malt flavor followed by the aforementioned blackberry fruit flavor that gives this beer a nice sweet and tart flavor with just a slight sour note and a slight hint of salt. No discernible hops here as far as my flavor profile is concerned. Has a mostly crisp, also smooth, light to medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate light to moderate carbonation. A very refreshing beer. Has a clean, slightly dry finish. A very nice take on this style. I quite enjoyed this one.
