From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This second fridge lurker pours a nice blackish brown
with a nice head of light brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thin swirling layer, and
displays some nice light lacing. Nose of mild coffee, mellow char, deep roasted malts,
dark cocoa, and subtle dark fruit nuances. Flavors hit the mark with dark cocoa,
mild coffee, mild char, nicely balanced caramel, and dark berry hints of blackberry
and blueberry. Mouth feel is medium full, light carbonation, smooth, rich, lightly coating,
and finishing with a bitter malt note.
Overall, a solid brew that says it is an Irish stout....more of an American imperial or an
export style. That said it is still a very solid little brew from a really nice little brewery!
Cheers
