Even Keel lives up to it's name. As smooth as calm ocean waters, this ale bursts with glacier hops aroma followed by mild bitterness and a hint of rye. The flavor yields a slight hint of citrus and cold ocean air on a winter's night out to sea.

NOT a bad beer but just one that seems incomplete or otherwise not correctly completed. Pours a golden body with good head but the smell, like I found in the taste and mouthfeel, is a little off as it seems a little grainy/veggie. The hops are mild and are balanced with minor sweet caramel malts and a has a crisp finish. Light and not taste bud killing like a APA should but at times I just found this underlying bitter graininess in sips and it just detracts from the beer.
