Taster at brewery. Appropriately named beer as an endless stream of fighters were coming in to Oceana NAS. Orange golden pour with a small foamy head. Fruity aroma, citrus and floral notes. Taste is is sweet and spicy, fruity. Finishes with a gentle bitter bite. Smooth.

L) Pours a lovely amber/light copper color with a creamy white head. Has fantastic retention and lacing.
S) The smell is malt forward for a DIPA. Lovely deep, sweet, and almost tart tropical fruits are present. It smells as if someone smuggled fruit gushers in under the lovely head.
T) The taste is fairly clean, citrus rind forward, and malty. The smooth caramels at play are well balanced with the tangerine and clementine zest hop profile.
F) Fairly creamy mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Nigh perfect for what I look for in a DIPA body.
O) I'm surprised this isn't rated higher honestly, it is quite well balanced and incredibly drinkable. I am a malt monster though, perhaps to some the hops are too suppressed by the almost wee-heavy like malt profile. An easy recommendation.

Poured from a 12oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a dark amber with a big frothy head.
Zesty tropical aromas.
Taste is a weird mix of herbal and bubble gum. Maybe could use a little more balance.

Good, balanced DIPA. Pours a hazy light amber color into a pint glass. Medium size frothy antique white head with better than average retention. Thick rings of frothy lacing on the glass. Aroma and flavor feature piney hops with some floral and citrus in the background. There is a good level of bitterness but also a strong malty presence, bready and some caramel. Mouthfeel is rich, crisp and nicely bitter. Young Veterans did a good job with this one.

L: Pours a hazy amber with a dense white head. nice lacing
S: Pine, floral and light citrus with a slight yeasty aroma. Some earthy and nutty notes come through. Caramel base comes through with a slight white grape note.
T: Decent balance between bittering and aroma hops with some pine and earthy hops in the forefront. There's a hint of orange zest and caramel amidst a dry, nutty finish. The ABV is well hidden
F: medium body, Medium low to medium carbonation.
O: Not a bad DIPA. Nice hop balance and nice caramel base. Not terribly complex in the hop aroma though makes this one good but not outstanding. Definitely a good brew. I'd drink another.
