Quick notes about beer: released on D-Day (6/6) so don't know if it's a one-off thing or a seasonal. Also forgot to write down (read: remember) ABV.
Full name of beer, I believe, is Storm Trooper Black Rye IPA.
Poured a brown, almost black body, with one finger head that dies slow with minimal lace patches. The roasted malts are dominant in the aroma, along with touches of rye, and while hops are present they are faint and come across as oily/dirty. Beer is smooth thanks to the rye and goes down easy, there are some sweet notes not only from the rye but it appears caramel and something like toffee. Balance is kept mostly due to roasted malts although again there is a minor, oily (almost buttery) hop presence. Not a bad beer at all and I enjoyed my pint but it is definitely more malty than hoppy.
