Young Veterans Brewing Company's Anchors Aweigh, 4/5 stars. This beer is unique because it was brewed in a limited amount as a 10th anniversary celebratory beer for the Virginia Beach, VA band, Audiostrobelight.
Overall, this is a lighter, refreshing, crisp pale ale with hints of peach and apricot. It's definitely a summery beer to be served cold.
The nose is definitely of sweet, ripe peach.
Despite the strong peach nose, the taste is not fruit-forward which is nice. Instead, what I taste is a hint of the peach's tarter apricot cousin at the front. Then comes some citrus-family hops that linger for a bit, definitely a pale ale.
In terms of mouth feel, the beer is quite bubbly, and little on the watery side - on the plus side, this adds to it's lighter crispness.
