Gold, tallow and hazy. Big, frothy head and terrific lacing. Pineapple, orange are dominant in the aroma. Taste is hoppy, tropical and slightly bitter. Drinks almost like an IPA and this is a great sessionable beer from Young Veterans. Clean, slightly bitter and fruity finish.

16 oz can from a local brewery where I live in Virginia Beach. I'm glad they canned more of this beer, since I didn't make it to the festival where they released this collaboration with Manchester Orchestra, who headlined the festival. So it was only fitting to listen to Manchester Orchestra while drinking this. This succeeded my expectations, good session pale ale, pretty hop forward with some citrus notes, which I always like.

Poured a clear, golden body with minimal and lace that quickly died. Bits of citric hops and grainy bitterness in aroma. Easy drinking, light bodied beer that has a mild hop characteristic and touches of malt sweetness (not really getting the tropical fruit sweetness). Finishes a bit dry with mild crispness and basically is just a kick back and relax in summer type beer.

This is a nice, light session IPA. There aren't many of these canned from VA breweries I know of so nice it's filling a need I think. It's like a lawnmower beer.

Nose is nice, bright - I feel like it's centennial but I am probably wrong!

Flavor is a nice hoppy bitter but not much complexity. Decent for a session IPA, but I wouldn't drink a ton of these.

Just picked a 4 pack of tall cans up today at local Harris Teeter. I didn't even know YVBC has canned/bottled any of their beer and this is the first time I've seen this expression by them. I was just at the brewery a month ago and I didn't see this offered on tap.

This is a first rate IPA, although they're calling it a Pale Ale. This was a collaboration beer for a local event with the band Manchester Orchestra. I hope it'll be a continual release by them. The pint can says that they're using El Dorado hops which I believe they use in their other IPA's. But the sweetness isn't really present like it is in Jet Noise.

All in all a great sessionable IPA. Beautiful appearance, nice lacing, nice piny/resiny nose and taste. Not over the top, just right for anytime drinking.

Excellent beer.

Poor - Excellent poor, very nice 1 finger frothy head.

Appearance - Excellent. Nice frothy head with lots of lacing. nice 18k amber color. Very hazy with lots of lazy bubbles.

Nose - Not overwhelming but very present. Pine and Resin.

Mouthfeel - Nice carbonation, very easy sessionable drinking.

Taste - Perfect. Not over the top but just the right taste for every time drinking. Nice pine and resin, very lemon citrus. Very well balanced. Very similar to an imperial lager as well.

Over all - This is by far my favorite local brewery beer to date. I got this from my local grocery store in a 4 pack of cans. I love cans and they were tall boys as well; my favorite. This has become my goto favorite beer.

Food Pairings - anything!
