Had this one from a crowler purchased at 7 Monks Taproom in Traverse City. This one is the 2019 version with Pearl hops from Michigan Hop Alliance in Omena and malt grown locally by Empire Malting Company. All the nice tripel characteristics are there: bubblegum, banana, and clove aromas and flavors, candi sugar, with a spicy peppery bite. Slightly hot finish at the beginning, which mellows as the ale warms. Quite nice!
