A: Deep woody raisin brown with a thin khaki layer of short lived foam that quickly faded into a thin collar. Soapy wispy lace.
S: Huge creamy vanilla nose dominates along with an almost equal part cocoa chocolaty scent. Strongly scented nose.
T: Hints of sweet port poke through dominating notes of vanilla bean and cocoa. Creamy flavors overall with a kiss of creme brûlée, chocolate ice-cream, and just a hint of caramel, spice, and woody flavors near the finish. Slightly vinous notes; the suggestion of port lingers in the finish.
M: Medium body, dark fruit skin-like bitterness, mild acidity, low carb with a slight tingle to it. Fairly smooth mouthfeel.
O: A bit heavy on the adjuncts, but the dark flavors and port barrel really melded together. Wish it was just a touch brighter and more acidic to scrub the flavors from my tongue.
