A: Poured into a tulip to a deep ruby which is topped by a two finger light pink head which fades quickly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of an almost overwhelming amount of horseblankety funk with some red berries and currants hiding in the background
T: Taste is horseblanket up front with some dark red berries, currants, hints of cherries, a touch of oak, and a slight hint of sourness along with a kiss of band aids. On the finish there's more dark berries and currants with lingering horseblanket and band aids.
M: This beer has a body which is on the lighter side of medium. Carbonation is effervescent and slightly prickly while the beer has a drying finish.
O: I'm not sure what this beer started life like before spending a ton of time in the bottle, but I think I might have taken a bit too long to get to this one. Overall not bad, but much different from anything else I've had from Rare Barrel.
