Slightly hazed amber brew with plenty of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Deep whiff of citrus to get you started, but then old moldy orange. There is a hint of orange, but mostly bark and something like blackberry stems. Very bitter and astringent in a peculiar aromatic way. Oddly perfumey taste with bitter ghost of berry jam. This is really quite unpleasant. From the 12 oz can dated 02/09/22.

been amazing to see so much beer from these guys on tap around town in the last few weeks, seems like they are hitting it hard right now, and so many cool flavors too. this is a pretty straight ahead west coast ipa, but exceedingly well made as almost all their beer is, and distinct enough on the hop profile to stand out a bit, not sure what they use but its orange and tangerine forward in nose and taste, and has just enough pale malt character backing it up for this to be balanced, lower bitterness too, almost presents like a modern pale ale. nice head from the tap, a little crystal malt color to it but more or less golden, and relatively clear. its got a hint of peach to it, red apple in a cider way, and some oiliness to it but not weedy or pine sappy, cleaner than most both in terms of the ferment and the hop linger, its just tidy, lighter to drink than it really is, balanced and bright. probably not going to change the world, but the freshness and the subtle uniqueness of the hops make this a real enjoyable drink, better in volume than as a one and done, not too much body at all, and another banger from ecliptic who always seems to hit. been a good couple weeks for me and their beer, hope it keeps up!

This beer was made for drinking after mowing the lawn on a hot summer day. Refreshing. Great citrus flavor. Smooth. Nice foam and color. I'd vote for John Harris as the best brewmeister in the Northwest. His credential are impressive and this beer is a reflection of his expertise. Delish!

Crisp, orange juice without the pulp, floral and mild resin, not particularly bitter. Slightly darker than expected, really more of an unfiltered IPA than a NE IPA. Medium body and appropriate carbonation.

12oz can served in a nonic glass. Can is dated 07-08-20.

Look- Fairly hazy light orange juice color, modest off-white head that slowly recedes to a thin cap of foam, ample sticky lacing. Light carbonation streaming visible as it sits.

Smell- Candied tropical fruit (pineapple, mango and papaya), citrus (orange/tangerine and lemon), a little strawberry, bready malt, resinous pine and other grassy/herbal notes.

Taste- Similar to the aroma, juicy citrus and tropical fruit, bready malt, a bit of pine and dank, light grassy/herbal hop notes.

Feel- Medium/light bodied, crisp and dry with a light moderate bitterness, pretty well balanced. Moderate carbonation on the tongue.

O- Pretty nice overall, but not very complex.

12oz can

Pours a massive two fingers of fluffy white head into my can style glass. Retention is really nice and barely anything is lost after a few minutes. Initial lacing looks great as well. Body is a golden yellow. Just a tiny bit cloudy, definitely not a hazy though. Loads if bubbles coming up. Looks really good so far.

Nose is ripe tropical fruits, mango, papaya, etc. A little citrus rind, a touch of sweetness that intensifies with time, finishing at an almost candy-like level. Super clean. Smells really good.

Flavor is also very nice, a little less depth than the nose though. Those tropical flavors linger in the distance at first, and come out more as the beer warms. Touch of dankness, which also increases with temperature. Finishes with some citrus and a moderate bitterness. Really nice flavor.

Mouthfeel is very nice. Body is above medium, with some nice malty sugars adding weight to the palate. Certainly not cloying in the slightest though. Carbonation is just a hair below medium, which is fine considering the rocky pour. Bitterness is medium and is very welcome to accompany all these flavors.

Drinkability is great, it’s super flavorful, while not cloying and very clean.

Appearance turned out pretty solid. Lacing was a little patchy, but cohesive for the most part. Head never really fully dissipated, but was a subtle sliver by the end.

Overall this is a killer beer. Starts off a little quiet, but once it warms the flavors and aroma jump out at you.

12oz can. I can read the message: "Not from concentrate" stamped on the bottom of the can, but not the code or date. Hopped with Idaho 7 and Bru-1. 6.5% ABV. Sample from the brewery.

Pale golden, mostly clear with a hint of haze, and lively producing a thick, foamy head. Aroma is ripe with citrus and tropical fruits. Silky smooth on the palate with some chewiness and a tingly carbonation. Super fruity. Packed with orange, grapefruit, and mango flavors. Bready malts in the middle. Not overly sweet. Bitterness is bright, pithy, rindy, and lingers into the dry finish.

SunRay is basically juice without the pulp.

Slightly hazy, thick head, loose lacing. Get a blast of citrus on the nose with the pour, nice work. A good sipping beer, a little less intense than the typical NWIPA. They could have dialled down the fruit a bit, but that's a quibble. Worth while picking up a sixer while they're fresh as we don't expect the beer to age well.

A pretty dry IPA, tasty mandarine showcasing more of the pith and rind. Definitely not sweet, nice creamy mouthfeel, clean bitter finish. Overall, it’s pretty refreshing and a good change of pace from Bodhizafa or Lucille, which are both brighter and can get heavy after awhile. The price is good, if fresh, this brew would be nice on the beach or between big IPAs, a good palate refresher
