Brewed with our friends at Von Ebert Brewing, this Kveik yeast-fermented ale was brewed with real blackberries & Meyer lemons and finishes super dry. A blend of hops--including Strata and Mandarina Bavaria--highlight the fruity, citrus flavors of this refreshing beer.

16oz can (dated 4/9/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a murky and muddy dark red color with over an inch of light pink head that had low retention and lacing.

There was a bit of funk at the front of the nose, with some berry behind it. No grain or hop presence.

Similar on the tongue. The funk was a bit bolder, and there was some tartness. The berry was faint, and I didn't really pick up any lemon.

The body was light and crisp, with a dry finish.

Drinkability was OK, but will depend on how well you like the Kviek yeast.

Overall, an interesting brew, worth trying if you see it.
