Light brown color with a light haze. Lasting head but little lace on the glass.
I get a licorice nose on this beer and perhaps, some lavender.
More licorice on the tongue. The literature says, "an experimental ale brewed with red Koji rice, an ingredient used in the production of Chinese Huangjiu and Japanese Sake." Wasabi root and ginger also make up the unusual ingredients in this brew. The ginger, in particular, produces an interesting finish.
