I feel privileged...I've never been the first to rate a beer before...let alone be the first to rate the first beer for a Brewing Company before. Since I am, I will rate with the utmost care and consideration.
Bottomline upfront: Great DIPA. Really memorable, I had this over a weekend in which my buddy and I tried beers from 8 different breweries across Tampa Bay and this is the only one we bought a growler of; and we're both Hop-Heads and had our fair share of IPAs/DIPAs across the country.
Had this both at the brewery and in the growler, this review is based on a less than 24-hour old Growler.
Appearance: Solid Copper, Orange color with a white head and great lacing. Really clung to the glass. Nice looking Beer.
Smell: Good Piney, Floral notes. Great odor.
Taste: Terrific, I kept thinking butterscotch as I was drinking this. Big taste, that starts off as sweet buttery (in a good way) followed by intense pepper, ending with tart fruit. It had that great bite you are looking for in a DIPA. It's a little bit boozy, but not too much to overpower the flavors.
Mouthfeel: Once again, above average. Thickness you'd expect in a DIPA, taste sticks around after your sip. You're going to want to take your time with this one. It would be great with a stogie.
Overall, really impressed with this beer.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
