Reviewed from (long-standing) notes. Had on-tap at The Pour House. Served in a snifter glass.
A: Hazy gold with orange undertones, a half-finger of white head atop fairly low visible carbonation.
S: Punch of funk (barnyard and a little feet), tropical fruits that seem both sweet and dry. Lactic tartness and light cracker malts.
T: Lactic tartness, juicy guava and tart passionfruit. Light funk - not as much as the nose would suggest. The cracker malt flavors show up briefly, but with no husky character to speak of. Finishes dry and fruity with some lingering tartness - but not overly tart at all.
M: Light body, though a bit on the heavy side for style. Low carbonation sensation but not flat. No alcohol presence to speak of.
O: Really, really enjoyed this one. Ended up getting a couple growlers around town, and it was equally good each time I had it. It's not quite DFPF to be sure, but very enjoyable in its own right. I hope they consider brewing this one on a semi-regular basis.
