The second edition of Hop Quest packs an intense citrus aroma, notes of ripe pineapple, lemon zest and strawberry carry the flavor. Rounded out by a crisp malt backbone, this beer is heavily crushable.

Pours a clear yellow with a small white head that goes away quickly. Has a strong hop smell a hint of malt. Not too overly hoppy in taste, a bit watered down.

June 15, 2024 - Slightly hazy light gold, white head recedes to almost nada, not lacy; Taste is not bad, kinda tasty; Mouthfeel is pretty good; The is a not bad but not great beer. I wouldn't turn it down, but won't be regularly buying it. Coppertail says this is brewed April through June. Unholy remains my favorite Coppertail beer.

I must disagree with the brewers description, which seems to reflect a hazy ipa. I'd describe it as a more of a west coast. Free Dive was my favorite beer from Coppertail, but now this one is. I'm not sure why they call it a "Cold IPA"? At a time when hazy IPA (wish it was called "Fruity Ale" is ruining the traditional IPA, I welcome this new Hop Forward IPA.
