Pours a dark black with a small cocoa colored head that fades quickly and leaves a whisper of lacing at the top of the glass. The smell is really nice. There is a really strong, sweet, roasted coffee smell that dominates the nose. Only hints of milk chocolate and raspberry are noticed. The raspberry and chocolate come out big in the taste with the bitter chocolate and tart raspberries combining well. There is a nice roasted flavor and a touch of char with a bitter finish that smacks of chocolate. Avery nice chewy mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

When this beer first came out, it was selling quick. Now, I find cases of it at stores, but unfortunately I bought one before I realized the sale decline.

I popped this 22ozer hoping to get a party started at my place, but this beer brought an awkward hush over the event. Just dreadful. A party of beer drinkers and I couldn't find anyone willing to finish it. It may not have been "that bad", but with so much beer to look forward to, this was an easy sacrifice.

I've just now started to appreciate mouth feel and this beer is a great example of what mouth feel should never be. It was the oddest aspect of this beer. It had a very loose and sourly carbonated feel.

The beer itself was dreadful in taste. Dirty chocolate with slightly sour raspberry undertones. Truly a swampy stout where nothing good can come from.

I was wondering if I had a bad bottle, but I have not found anyone who drank this beer and liked it.

This is easily in the 5 worst craft beers I've ever had.

Poured from a bomber into a mug, the beer is a dark, mahogany-brown to black coloring with a foamy, dense, small bubbled, light creamy tan head. Aromas of tart raspberry, milk chocolate, bittersweet baker's chocolate, hints of roast, and hints of bitter coffee. Flavors are roast and rich milk chocolate forward, with a highlighting ribbon of tart and sweet raspberry, and a bitter coffee backbone. Smooth and balanced, with a crisp, dry transition to finish. The aftertaste is tangy sweet, with only the slightest hints of chocolate, really allowing the raspberry fruit characteristics to take over. Smooth, light, slightly dry finish. This is a great nightcap of a beer...sweet and rich, balanced, and damn tasty.

bomber into a FW tulip.

Pours a dark brownish black with a slight white head. Smell is filled with a ton of raspberries...nice! Taste unfortunately doesnt quite follow suit ... just a tad of fruit on the front which gives way to a plethora of malts and finishes a bit bitter. almost no chocolate in the taste at all..tad disappointing. body is a bit light too. carbonation on point.

overall not bad...taste didnt follow the awesome nose though.
