Poured from a freshly tap-filled growler.
Color = Coffee black with a huge frothy brown head that has good retention, ample lacing on the glass.
Aroma = Chocolatey goodness, hint of coffee and spice
Flavor = Chocolate milk, hint of black coffee again up front with bitter hop finish
Feel = Smooth and sweet transitioning to dry and bitter after swallowing, bitterness lingers for some time
Upon a first sip, this struck me as a hopped-up companion to their Thrilla in Vanilla porter. It seems to have that same sweetness in the nose and the beginnings of the flavor. I'm really liking this brewery and would have this again for sure.
