Poured into a Funky Buddha Brewery snifter. No freshness date. Thank you Cheryl!
A- Pours a medium brown color with a 1/8 inch light tan head that doesn't retain long before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and minimal surface foam. Semi-resilient tiny clots of lacing.
S- Big brown sugar and caramel aroma with some tones of vanilla and sweet raisin. Kind of smells like fruitcake or banana bread. I dig it.
T- The flavor leans more toward a Belgian dark ale with a candi sugar sweetness and some dark fruit notes. Also the alcohol is very well concealed. Toasty with a malted milk ball aftertaste.
M- A tad bit syrupy with medium-low carbonation and a body leaning toward the fuller side.
O- This is a very drinkable spiced beer (winter warmer?) that doesn't skimp on flavor or strength. This is the second offering I've had from DB and I'm looking forward to trying more.

Pours into an impy nonic a dull amber with a thin off white head atop.Alot of really good stuff going on in the aromas, yeasty weizenbock-like clove and banana with deep juicy fruitiness to go along with cinnamon spice.Flavors are alot of the same good stuff, some banana and bubble gum with deep dark fruit melding into cinnamon and spice,(ancho maybe?)that lingers.DB didn't mince anything here, alot going on and it's good.
