Pours from a growler into a snifter.
A: Pours a clear dark brown appearing black in the glass. A mostly white head sits on top of this one. Leaves some spots of lacing on the sides of the glass.
S: Complimenting blend of roasted malt, belgian yeast and dark fruits.
T: Starts off with a roasted malt flavor that has hints of smokiness. Dark fruit begins to permeate the brew with a touch of a belgian like yeastiness. There is certainly a nutty quality to this one too. No significant hopping.
M: Nice mouthfeel on this one. Very smooth and easy drinking with a creamy body. Low to moderate carbonation.
Overall dont mistake this one to be a black IPA. Much more like a schwarzbier mixed with a brown ale. Very enjoyable.
