On tap at Abandon Brewing Company in Penn Yan, NY.
Pours a ruby reddish brown, with a 1 inch head, and small dots of lacing down the glass.
Aromas include strong dark fruits (raisins, figs, plums, cherries, etc)
The taste is similar, great dark fruit flavor here, love the bit of cherry flavor I'm getting. Pretty boozy, but the alcohol is integrated well into the flavor profile. I'm also getting Belgian yeast esters, a bit of spicy yeast flavor. Pretty sweet.
Full bodied, not the thickest quad I've ever had, but still pretty nice. Very drinkable for the ABV. Sticky sweet mouthfeel.
Abandon continues to impress me, this was really nice.

32oz grumbler poured into a snifter.
A: Pours a clear dark ruby brown with minimal off white head on top. Not very much visible carbonation.
S: Dark fruits permeate the aroma with a sweet plum or fig. Belgian yeast comes through nicely as well.
T: As with the aroma there are some nice Belgian qualities to this one. Belgian yeast, candied sugar and a slightly fruity malt. As it warms up it gets a bit more of a farmhouse character.
M: Medium body with mild carbonation. Does have a nice creamy mouthfeel to it. Certainly isnt too hot, but warms you up.
Overall a very easy drinking quad. Could use a bit of age or another fermentation to add some complexity.
