This porter uses a mix of roasted and kilned malts to produce a rich and complex flavor with notes of dark fruit, chocolate, caramel, and toffee. A lager yeast ferments this to a clean, smooth finish. Made to be enjoyed by a fire on a cold winter's night.

Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into a chalice. No date stamp on the label or can. Beer was purchased at a grocery store in Geneva, NY.
The beer pours a rich dark coffee color and a minimal , yet dense beige head foams up about .5 cm . This foam is a thin edge layer soon after the pour. Aroma is dark chocolate and roasted malts with just a hint of coffee ground too. No hop character on the nose and the ABV is well hidden too. Nose works for the style.
First sip reveals a medium body with smooth texture and gentle spacious carbonation. the beer drinks pretty easy on the physical traits.
Flavor is similar to the nose, roasted malt and dark chocolate dominate here. I do get hints of sweetness as well but the flavor is carried by roast. Again, no hop character and the ABV is hidden. This baltic porter drinks very easy overall.
Glad I tried this one.

16 oz can
Pours a very dark brown, almost black. Some ruby highlights when held up to the light. Cream colored head. Aroma of cola and dark cocoa, a touch of toasted marshmallow. Taste is similar, slightly sweet but not too much so. Medium bodied, mouthfeel is a little slick.
