On-tap at Willimantic Brewing Co.
Pours a clear gold with a minimal off-white head; plenty of lacing left in the glass, though.
Aroma is a light balance of watermelon, wild berry and citrus fruit (orange mostly), with grassy, malty notes maintaining prominence.
Taste is fronted by bursts of raspberry, wild berry, and floral notes; tones of light grass and hay intertwined with delicate, sweet malts and burnt wood come through also.
Mouthfeel is light, somewhat prickly, dry and extremely refreshing; perfects the traditional cream ale feel in spite of the relatively powerful ABV.
Dynamic, unique, and ceaselessly refreshing throughout. Excellent example of a humble style stretching its boundaries. I'm especially feeling the fruity, but distinctly earthy tone of this one.
