ACBF pour. Cool to see a nitro beer here. Aroma is roasty with a hint of sweetness. Flavor is quite dry and I appreciate a dry Stout. Dark roast, coffee, bitter chocolate. Nitro adds a pleasurable feel.

Poured from a 16oz can dated 12/08/20 to a diagonally cut tumbler at room temp.
While the pour stream looks like Coke, in the glass this is black with hints of brown on the edges. There was a nice tan head of hilly topography but it does not last. There is not much in terms of lacing, just some bubbles riding on an oily film as the glass is rolled.
The aroma is of composting wet leaves with some conifer mixed in.
Taste is baker's chocolate with only a hint of sweetness up front. While the head lasted, it was the best part of the taste, light, bitter, airy and what you would expect from a nitro beer. The finish is mouth puckering dry.
Mouthfeel is medium-creamy and coating. There is no indication of the “nitro” aspect, except for that ephemeral head.
I do like a dry stout. This one maybe would be better fresh or on tap.

Poured from a pint can into a Firefly Hollow Snifter glass. Two Finger caramel colored head, decent lacing but less than I would have thought for a Nitro style stout. Body of the beer is coal black. Malty sweet aroma tempered by roasted barley with hint of oatmeal nuttiness. The first sip is smooth, creamy and thick with a great mouthfeel, due to the nitro. The flavor of the malt and oatmeal comes thru with some chocolate and anise also present. Guiness has been doing nitro stouts for years, but it's nice to have the local craft breweries pick up on this, as they produce a better beer.

Best stout. First time I had a nitro. The feel of this beer incomparable to anything else, Maybe due to nitrogen. This is how a beer is supposed to feel. Amazing

Nitro
A: opaque; deep brown in color; 1 finger creamy mocha head that receded slowly to a thin cap; thick sheets of lacing;
S: roasted grain, black coffee, bittersweet chocolate;
T: roasted grains and bittersweet chocolate up front; coffee comes in at the middle and increases through the end; finish is like coffee ice cream with mild bitterness;
M: medium bodied; creamy carbonation; dry finish;
O: really good if you like coffee;

The nitro provides a 2-3 finger rich and creamy head. The head improves then taste, adding a cream flavor to the dry malty richness the toadstool imparts. Nice to find it outside of Firefly.

On Nitro at the brewery. Pours a dark black color with an inch plus of thick khaki head. Some lacing. The aroma is roasted malts and dark chocolate. Some espresso and earthy notes. The taste is more of the roasted malts, bitter dark chocolate, and espresso. Earthy towards the end with some light caramel notes. Hints of vanilla. Roasty finish. Velvety mouthfeel. Very drinkable. This works well with the Nitro. Overall, very good Oatmeal Stout.

I personally don't like the mouthfeel of a nitro tapped beer, almost reminds me of Pepto Bismal and it mutes the flavor but hey at least they tried something different. I've had this beer both ways it's better on a standard CO2 tap.
