Really nice hoppy IPA with tropical fruit notes. Was relatively impressed and wish this one was available locally as ive not tasted anything (yet) that has quite the tropical fruit notes this one has. Just has a different flavor than many of your standard IPA's. Had this at the Brewery while vacationing in Maine..if I could get this in PA where I am id probably have it as a "standard" regular to my go to lineups of IPA's.

A: slight haze; deep gold in color; 1 finger white head that receded to a wispy cap; very nice lacing;
S: earthy pine for a moment, then tropical fruit;
T: mild tropical fruit for a moment, tart tropical fruit in the middle, a bit of floral toward the finish, then more tart tropical fruit; mild bitterness at the end;
M: medium bodied; moderate carbonation; lightly dry finish that increases to moderate if you give it time;
O: the tartness in the flavor was interesting and different;

Review from BA Mag Issue #117 ( Oct 2016 )
Fruity, Dank, Bitter, Interesting
Hidden Cove doesn’t go with your usual mix of hops for an IPA; Patroon includes Hallertau Blanc, Centennial, and Summit. Honeydew rind, orange pith, pineapple skin, and green tea come across in the nose and on the palate from those three varieties. And while there’s more than enough bitterness to go around, that hop flavor is what really shines here. Some maltiness does come through though, and a kiss of alcohol is noticeable. In the massive pool of IPAs available these days, this one easily advances past the middle of the pack. [Jason]

From a 12oz can. My luck is usually bad when grabbing something I've never heard of off the shelf. Well, my luck may be changing! A tasty, slightly more hoppy than malty IPA. Melon, orange and grapefruit shine in this hidden gem.
