From the corked, caged bottle sampled August 8, 2021.
The pour is dark brown but way, way carbonated with an explosive, fluffy tan head. I had to let it sit a few minutes to let the head settle.
The aroma expresses the Bourbon and wood front and center, with the cherries emitting that fruity sensation and the vanilla bean is lower profile. Smells boozy.
The mouthfeel is light to medium.
The tartness of the cherries are what I get in the flavor right off with the vanilla and roasted character coming up a little lower profile. Tartness lingers at the end. Does not taste as boozy as it smells.
