I ordered this as part of a huge order of Begian beers and to be honest I'm now quite surprised I ordered a beer of style 'sweet cherry'. The concept is reeeally not my thing, at all, but I'll endeavour to keep an open mind...
L- Vivid dark puice. Slight haze and a 1Cm pale pink head.
S- Smells more of almonds than cherries to me. My wife (radar of a nose on her!), gets both too but cherries dominating.
T- Oh heavens! I honestly/literally inadventently grimace after the finish on the 1st mouthful which is so pungent, sort of ... a cherry flavour bubblegum. An almond/cherry candied taste and sense of perfume completely dominates, I do not register any more typical beer like characteristics.
F- Sweet, unexpectedly artificial/synthetic, perhaps as unbeer-like a beer as I've ever encountered.
O- A cherry kriek can be very nice, but some can be a bit OTT. Sadly this one seems to take it to another level that is new to me. I'd politely suggest that this is a beer for an extremely niche market; perhaps 'You already love cherry kriek, and are OK with perfume and veering towards sweetness too'. Not something I'm finishing as sadly 1/2 will be sinked.
330ml Bought from BelgiumInABox Antwerp/BE for home delivery to me in London/UK. BB: 06/2022.
p.s. Ironically the head holds very well.

Ruby red pour with pink head. Aroma has nice cherry and cherry preserve notes with some beer in the background. Taste starts with sweet cherry syrup followed by a light tartness and balances out towards the finish with a hint of hop bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it's a decent fruit beer, not overly sweet or artificial.

Kriek Lambic style beer with a soft pinkish red complexion. Initial taste sweet and somewhat artificial. Soft bitter aftertaste, almost unnoticeable, needs more.
