This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a hazy yellow color with a slight transparency about it allowing slight carbonation to be seen rising at a nice pace. The smell had a beautiful aromatic roasty coffee beans combining with subtle cocoa nibs. The taste was a really spectacular balance between the sweet and the roasty of the coffee beans biting at the cocoa nibs. There’s a semi-dry roasty aftertaste rolling on into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a slight sessionability about it. Carbonation finishes nice. Roast does lay down nicely on my tongue. Overall, some may call this "gimmicky," I just say, it's a brewery trying to do something different and honestly, it's Burlington Beer Company in which I think a ton of people don't understand the creative ingenuity behind this brewery.

L: I guess what anyone would expect out of a blonde stout? Fine, clear deep straw color with typical head.
S: Interesting. Like a kolsch with coffee.
T: Yup, tastes like a kolsch with coffee. Very fruity. I guess the pale malts and sweet chocolate give it that kolsch quality.
F: Solid enough as expected.
O: It's a weird beer, but it grew on me as I drank it. But yeah, if you were ever drinking a kolsch and thought "huh, this would be great with coffee," this beer is for you!

16oz. can, served to me at a restaurant with a chilled shaker pint.
Look: Attractive Blonde color, fairly thick, foamy head, settles to ring the glass. Clear, some active carbonation.
Smell: Cacao nibs and roasted coffee, very present, but not overpowering.
Taste: Not hard to tell that there are additions of cacao nibs and coffee. It does not taste like chocolate, it tasted like nibs, roasty, somewhat bitter, faint bittersweet cocoa. The coffee comes through as well, but is a similar flavor profile to the nibs.
Feel: I would consider this to be pretty full bodied, looks light, feels thick, I guess that is why it is called a Blonde Stout. Moderate carbonation.
Overall: I would definitely say that this is a brew worth trying. It is interesting to say the least. Does not have the deep dark and roasted malt background of a stout, but does get a real roasted character from the adjuncts.

Hell of a ride. What a fun beer.
A- A beautiful deep blonde colour.
S- Big coffee & Cocoa notes.
T- It tastes like a stout but without the roastiness. Coffee & Cocoa make up for that though.
F- nice, medium carb.
What a wild one this is. Very fun and enjoyable beer.

16 oz can
pours a golden color - hence the "blonde stout". just a slight roasted aroma, really have to sniff to get it out. mild taste. medium bodied. Even if you close your eyes, not really a stout. okay experiment, okay but not great execution
