Imperial IPA brewed with Honey and conditioned on Yellow Birch. The floral bouquet of aromas from the honey works in tandem with the hops from America and New Zealand to create a truly unique aromatic experience. Lemon, honey drizzled croissant, and tropical fruit notes brought by conditioning on Yellow Birch lends subtle complexity to a rich malt backbone and an explosion of citrus hop flavors.

Sweet honey smooth. Dark center gives it a look o beauty. I find this beer better a few weeks after canning.

Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned 10/18/17. Pours a very hazy orange yellow, like 2 thirds orange juice and 1 third pineapple juice and leaves a thick ring of lace around the glass with some sporadic webs also.
Smell is honey, some oak, papaya, guava, tangerine, pineapple, and a little grapefruit rind.
Taste follows this thing has held up very well, tropical as it gets, with a little honey and some flavor that must be the birch, really balanced and tasty.
Mouthfeel is big and sticky from the insane amount hops, nice carbonation, not dry, and at 9% ABV insanely upproachable.
Overall this Brewery may be the best and most consistently awesome in New England, dazzled every time.

Offered by the can at the Grazers in Williston. Poured into a flute glass. Cloudy, dirty-yellow/orange color with a soft head that leaves rings of lace all down the glass. Not a lot of aroma, but some sweetness and citrus is apparent. Nice flavors with hints of mead. Great mouthfeel. Overall, a nice diversion from the super hop-heavy DIPA.

Poured from a 16oz can (Canned: 10/18/2017...exactly one month since packaging) into a Spiegelau IPA glass. (I left the last 1-2 ounces of uber-turbid beer behind and consumed later)
A - Without disturbing the can before pouring, the resulting beer is a very hazy (almost turbid), orange/brown color with a full, 1+ finger of a cream colored, frothy head which maintained substantial retention. As far as the NE IPA style is concerned, this is what fans of this style are after. However, being a fan of clear beer like Duvel, this is a bit offsetting. (4.0)
S - Not gushing with aromatics, what is on offer are notes of tropical and citrus fruits in equal measure. There is no noticable aromas from the Honey or Wood adjuncts. This is a great, fully aromatic and complex beer that. (4.5)
T - Non-descriptive tropical and citrus fruits, wood tannins and the ever-so-slight hint of Wildflower Honey. The bitterness is mild, but is enhanced with the flavors imparted by the wood. (4.75)
M - Considering the cloudy/turbid appearance and 9% ABV, it lands suprisingly light on the palate. The carbonation is enough to generate a modest head and remain in solution to keep the beer from going flat over the course of consumption. (4.75)
O - This is my first canned offering from Burlington Beer Co. and it did not disappoint in the least. As a matter of fact, the addition of the Honey and Yellow Birch adds a complexity that no other beer from this region has to offer...I just wish the contributions from both were a bit stronger. Regardless, this is one of my favorite DIPAs from the region and will seek it out every time it is released. (4.75)

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tumbler glass.
Pours a completely opaque deep orange color with 2 fingers of off-white head. The retention is absurd, and the head refuses to go away before finally settling into a thick foam that rests gently atop the beer. Leaves a solid ring of lacing around the top of the glass.
The aroma on this beer is just stupid. Mango, papaya, and fresh pineapple for days. Then comes a tidal wave of citrus; lemon, grapefruit, orange rind, tangerine, (insert citrus fruit here). The back end is subtly piney with a hint of honey and bready malt.
The flavor is an explosion of citrus, bringing notes of fresh squeezed lemon, tangerine, and orange rind. There's plenty of tropical notes here too; mango, pineapple and apricot. The back end has some more subtle notes of peach, honey, and sweet dough before a faintly piney, earthy and spicy finish.
The feel is medium bodied with moderately low carbonation. Smooth and creamy as hell. The alcohol is practically non-existent.
Overall, this is a fantastic DIPA. It's exploding with flavor and the aroma is straight legit. I don't really know what's going on with the "Yellow Birch" but everything else is truly wonderful.

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a murky swampy yellow body with some sticky lacing. Nose of tropical fruit and citrus, mostly orange. Taste of orange pith, honey, slight lemon, and birch characteristics as well. NEIPA feel of particulate and lacking in the carbonation department. Overall, a juice head's dream? This, IMO, is not a DIPA, and needs to be put into the "NEIPA style" category. One can only hope. Cheers!
