I couldn't manage more than a few sips. But I guess is the cranberry just comes across to me as tasting like infection. I got a little bit of roast, no barrel, mostly just a weird tartness.

If the micro type writing just above the government warning is the born on date, then the can is dated 01-01 20. It's not on the bottom of the can. It's on the label.
A 16 oz can set me back $8. A little pricey.
This is a good barrel aged stout, not as boozy as Bourbon County, and it has nice layers. The cranberries only serve to soften the sweet, they are not up front in your face at all. The beer may hide the 12%ABV very well, but your metabolism cannot. I forget what else I had to say...

A: Pours a near pitch black color with 2, fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Roasted malt, dark chocolate, cranberries, caramel, bourbon, and oak
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the roasted malt, cranberries, and bourbon. Picks up the oak, caramel, and dark chocolate before finishing with some light char and roast as well as some light lingering sweetness from a mix of the bourbon and cranberries
M: Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation
O: A solid fruited BBA stout that is super balanced and hides the 12% dangerously well. The cranberries add both a super light tartness and sweetness that compliments the barrel character well. Worth a drink

This was poured into a snifter. The appearance was a dark black color with a finger’s worth of white to off white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Soft stringy lacing clings nicely. The aroma starts off with a blend of the cranberry sweet to tart yet mild acidic tone running into the roast and the cocoa bean base, a rugged sweetness. Robust dry woodiness underneath. The flavor yields to the roastiness first. Some sweet and tart cranberries and cocoa bean slide in decently. All of that combines but also gets a little bit of chalkiness in the feel. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a nice sipping quality about it. Carbonated nicely, a dry chalkiness grips my tongue in an acceptable way. Overall, this is a very nice imperial stout that I would have again.
