Thank you SawDog505 for this can!
A - Dark brown opaque pour with thick caramel colored creamy lacing.
S - Spicy pine, citrus, and roasted malt aroma.
T - Spicy grapefruit and citrus rind, sticky pine, and roasted cocoa. Ends with a nice lingering citric spicy cocoa.
M - Thick mouthfeel that's bone dry on the back of the tongue and wet on the tip of the tongue.
O - Wasn't crazy about this beer at first but as I work my way through the can it's really growing on me. This is a nice beer!

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass canned on 9/13/18. Pours a cloudy dark brown with a 2 finger sticky tan head that leaves an amazing wall of lace as it slowly settles.
Smell grapefruit, cocoa nibs, coffee grounds, and pine resin.
Taste follows cocoa, coffee lead the way with pine and grapefruit in the bold long lingering finish.
Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, plenty of life, a tad dry, and if you are into this style extremely drinkable.
Overall this is some very tasty, bold flavors that absolutely destroys and confuses the palate.

The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with no head but a nice amount of filmy lace clinging to the sides of the glass. The aroma started off with a thick big blend of roasted dark malts flowing into a nice resinous/piney hoppiness and then some light citrus bitterness. The flavor blended well between the sweet and roast and then letting the bitter pineyness pounce in for great balance. Semi-sticky resinous to roasty aftertaste. Quick dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sipping quality about it. Good composure with the ABV feeling good, doesn’t slide or grip too extraneously. Overall, definitely would love having more of this.

Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head that dissipates fairly quickly down to a ring around a little film of a head. OK lacing over a translucent brown body. Nose of tropical fruit, roasted malts, and a very slight tartness. Taste sort of follows nose with a bit of chocolate and tart flavors on the finish. Medium to thin feel on this and overall a very interesting and fairly complex beer!
