this was really easy drinking and enjoyable, huge flavor profile but much more approachable than many of the stouts Im hoarding in the fridge ... dont get me wrong I love a 14% imperial stout but sometimes its nice to have something dark and bold and roasty without getting shitfaced. this one was really rich and malty, some roastyness balancing some sweeter notes of chocolate, molasses & vanilla. this one sounded like a desert beer but it wasnt really, overall quite balanced and well rounded, really enjoyable stuff.

Treated as an imperial stout, this was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a thick dark brown almost black color with a slim cap of an off white foamy head. When it dissipated, there wasn't much lace.
The aroma captured a nice blend of sweet graham cracker and milk chocolate up front and then the marshmallow sweetly follows up fairly nice.
The flavor was moderately sweet with a tired roastiness flowing in to bump with the milk chocolate and marshmallow which seemed semi-mellow. Aftertaste had some cereal/graham cracker grainy sweetness with the milk chocolate.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Roasty grip came across welcoming but with a slight distractibility. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good. Finish had a nice grip of the roast (some harshness, but not overbearing).
Overall, I liked this a ton for me as the marshmallow was fainter than expected. Still, it came across so damn nice.
