Just when I thought all of the cans of this batch were gone, a buddy gave me one.
Here's my observations.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a thick dark brown close to black color with a finger's worth of eggshell white foamy head that swiftly glided off to leave some light lace running here and there.
The aroma had some salty doughiness, peanut butter fluffy sweetness, milk chocolate particles, light wafer-like character, and a little bit of vanilla further on the back end.
The flavor was moderately sweet running through the salty and doughy-like pretzel notes with some sweet grains and that wafer-like quality I noticed in the aroma come out matching it quite nicely. Moderate aftertaste of the peanut butter puffy cereal and salty pretzel-ness, but actually really nice.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied and acted as a nice sipper due to the saltiness showing some pizazz that seemed to push back the smoothness of the doughiness of the pretzel. So, its a fair grip along my tongue, to say the least. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt good.
Overall, very nice and creative take on an American imperial stout by Burlington. It's definitely one that I'd come back to.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a pitch black color with 2 fingers of effervescent dark tan head. The head dissipates very quickly into a thin halo, leaving a few cobwebs of lace along the way.
The aroma brings notes of chocolate-covered pretzels, cereal grains, and a ton of sweet milk chocolate. The back end has the faintest hint of peanut butter and caramel.
The flavor is pretty much exactly as described: Chocolate covered pretzels with a hint of peanut butter and roasted cereal grains. The finish brings a faint kiss of bitter hops.
The feel is medium full-bodied with moderately-low carbonation. Very creamy and smooth and the alcohol is well-hidden.
Overall, a very good imperial stout that sounds far more interesting than it really is. It's still a well made beer and was far more well-balanced than I had expected.
