16 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a 3/8 inch light pink head over a dark pinkish-purplish body with scant lacing. Nose of black raspberry. Taste of black raspberry and maple. Why is this an IPA? It's giving NEIPAs a bad name. Yet another BBCo offering I will leave on my bar 'til morning to see how much white powder comes out of solution. Cheers?

16 oz into tulip. No date.
Beautiful dark purple look, leads to nice little tropical nose with raspberry ending. Taste is nice sweet raspberry taste. Little vanilla notes. Feel is smooth and creamy. Overall a nice ice cream IPA

When the best thing about a beer is the vibrant color, you know the review isn't going to be good.

This pours a deep maroon purple, bold color for a beer. Smell is sweet and berry. Another quality aspect to this beer is how multi layered it is. That's where the fun stops. I found it a disharmonius mix of tart, sweet, dry, medicine. The bitter just added to the mayhem. Nothing blended, nothing complimented the other, in short, it didn't taste good. I'm hoping the other BBCo milkshake IPA in my fridge is better than this one.

Treated as a milkshake IPA, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance had a beet juice color - thick purple haze. Small white foamy head that didn't last at all. No lace.
The aroma started the black raspberries, sweet and tart with a punchy little tickle of lemon. Then the maple comes in with a slight smokey sweetness (it's barely there, to be honest).
The flavor mildly leads with the black raspberry sweetness and a touch of maple.
Some lactose and vanilla sweetness. Crisp grassy and black raspberry to slightly lemony aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was between medium and full bodied. Some sessionable traits to this but also a mindful grip of some grassy hops trolling my tongue somewhat dryly. Appropriate carbonation - nice and low. ABV felt fine.
Overall, as a milkshake IPA, it works but I'm hesitant to rate this super high.
