Treated as an imperial milk/sweet stout, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nice looking dark brown close to black color capped by an off white to almost ran little foamy head. Fairly quick dissipation leaving some light speckled lace.
The aroma had a superb blend of jammy sweet raspberry to sweet and roasty chocolate character. Subtle dose of sweet to roasty coffee tones. Some dark toast.
The flavor seemed to meld that jammy raspberry sweetly with a sly touch of tart then moderating slightly to the roasty and sweet side of the milk chocolate. Semi-sticky aftertaste of raspberry jammy quality to a dry milk chocolate/cocoa powder.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Substantial dryness prevented this from being a sessionable sort of beer. I didn't mind that. Finish was a very nice blend of roasty coffee to cocoa powder flowing into the raspberry jammy stickiness, very good moderation between it all.
Overall, this is a very nice imperial milk/sweet stout done in a Burlington Beer Company manner. What a nice Winter's evening dessert.

16 oz. can.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch tan head over a near black body with little to no lacing. After a couple minutes the head is gone for good. Nose of raspberry and chocolate. Taste mirrors nose nicely. Feel is a bit thin to my liking and overall, a tasty milk stout nonetheless. Cheers!
