Not sure what was going on here. I know the description said black gose, but pour was a dirty brown, minimal fruit on the nose which was dominated by coffee, and the flavor was just sour coffee. Possible infection, drain pour

In respect to the brewer, I ended up adding this as a gose, however, from the numerous amounts of goses I have had in my own life (observations and experiences with German brewers and judges) this is not a true gose.
This was poured into a stange.
The appearance was a mild brown to dark purple color with a sturdy semi-rocky cap of an off white foamy head softly dissipating to leave some messy lace.
The aroma captured some sweet to tart blueberry and plum up front with a subtle assembly of sour cherries and milk sugar/creamy vanilla in the background.
The flavor has a great salt level playing with some sour cherries, blueberries, subtle dark chocolate and milk sugar. Sticky aftertaste of cherries, dark chocolate and milk sugar.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied. Some sessionability to it but also, not too much. Good carbonation. Nice ABV. Salty and cherry to slightly dark chocolate -like finish.
Overall, I liked for me, but you're lead astray if you think this is a gose. Where's the soured wheat? Still, it's brewed well enough want to reach for again.
