A: Pours an orange color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Kumquats and tartness up front along with some lighter fruitiness
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the kumquat and tartness and picks up some vinous notes and light general fruitiness
M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Acidic
O: A solid double gose that highlights the kumquat. Definitely on the fruity side. Not bad

Opted for a tulip since the brewer claims this is an imperial version.
The appearance was a semi-thick burnt orange creamy color with a small white foamy head sliding off at a fair pace. Not much lace, dissolving little speckles few and far between.
The aroma had the kumquats, bold and sweet up front with adequate tart to sour qualities roaming in and out nicely.
The flavor had a bit more sweet fruity kumquat likeness in front than the sour and tart character. Mild aftertaste of kumquats and a touch of lactose.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Low carbonation and a rough sort of likeable edge of kumquat tartness drying out my tongue. Finishes semi-sticky and crisp with kumquat fruitiness.
Overall, possibly more of a fruit and field beer depending upon how one takes this beer. But I'd still have again despite it not being anywhere close to a true gose.
