Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a damn near black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of maple, coffee. Taste is the same as the aroma. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a unique and decent beer.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a pint glass; no birth date on the can. Pours dark, dark amber - almost black - with decent initial foam that rapidly recedes. Strong and pleasant smell of maple syrup and coffee, though coffee taste is more prevalent. Very good beer though seems borderline porter to me.

This has a great aroma, lots of maple and coffee as soon as the can is cracked. The flavor really develops in the glass as the beer comes up to temp; too cold and it seems muted and indistinct, somewhat muddled. Things fall together and there’s a highly drinkable balance between the elements over time. Medium bodied, a tick on the fuller side, with medium carbonation a tick on the lower side. Enjoyable fall beer with lots of flavor and moderate alcohol.

On tap at the brewery's gastropub in Burlington.

Appearance. Clear, dark reddish-brown body with high clarity and a fine beige head.

This has an excellent mix of coffee, chocolate, and maple. Very smooth, medium-full body with light carbonation.

16 oz can.

Pours a hazy deep copper color with a small khaki head. Hardly any retention or lacing to speak of.

Aromas of maple syrup and dark roasted coffee. Maybe some nuttiness.

The flavor brings far too much roasted coffee with some light maple syrup. Not entirely unpleasant but doesn't have any beer qualities.

The feel is medium-light bodied with moderate carbonation. Slightly dry. Coffee flavor lingers like you ate a used coffee filter.

Overall, this is not good. I'm being generous because the flavor isn't actually horrifying, it's just not drinking like a beer. Disappointing because it sounded really good.

No can date
Pours a frothy foamy 1 finger tan head with moderate retention, semi clear semi hazy auburn to ruby color

Nose big smooth coffee up front, fresh nutty light roasted coffee, with maple syrup, like maple syrupy loaded on pancakes so tons of it, a little sweet doughnut under that, and nothing else

Taste thankfully has some malt, light toasted reddish malt with hint of caramel, but again loads of maple syrup, fresh light roasted coffee, little bitterness, but that's it, really over powered

Mouth is med bod, a touch syrupy, med to lighter carb

Overall not good, all maple and coffee, no beer, so unless you like drinking maple syrup with light coffee grounds mixed in, this is hard to palate
