Surprised to see a Pilsner for anniversary beer, but BBCO would do that. Canned 2022/05/26
Pours a foamy frothy 1 finger head with good retention, soapy lacing, mostly clear slight chill haze golden straw color
Nose is different but good, some pilsner malt in there, cereal grain, bread dough, straw, etc, but that Spanish cedar character comes through in a good way, a touch of a fruity note and cedar wood, a very floral rose like character as well, herbal floral hops in the background
Taste soft lager and pilsner malts up front quickly followed by the Spanish cedar again, pilsner grainy-sweet cereal malt, a bit doughy, straw, with a soft lager and a bit of a layered malt decoction character but hard to tell as the wood kicks in quickly, soft cedar wood character with a bit of that floral rosy note again, and some exotic citrus fruits, getting a touch yeasty late, hops bring light bitterness with more herbal floral flavors, then med-light bitterness on the finish with hops getting a touch spicy
Mouth is med to a bit lighter bod, soft lager, high semi effervescent carb
Overall a unique and interesting beer, good pilsner with that fun Spanish Cedar in there that adds unique wood flavors without overpowering the beer, so nice!

Spanish cedar conditioned pilsner.
Can. White head. Lace. Clear golden color.
The Spanish cedar adds a nice unique layer to the base beer. Nothing overwhelming, but a unique twist. Biscuit, bread, earthy/zesty hops, a bit of spicy hops. Smooth, crisp, easy drinking. Very enjoyable.
