Hex Like a Crow

Alewife and I stopped by BBCo on 02SEP24, during a 5-night stay in Waterbury. Each had a 12oz pour of this, served in a slender, flute-like glass.

Poured jet-black, with no carbo evident at all. Thick and dense! Had a creamy 1/2" mocha-hued head, with excellent lacing. Aroma was divine, with figs, dates, roasty malts, dark choco and light maple. The feel was smooth and creamy, with a medium-plus body.

Taste backed up the aroma, with roasty action, dark choco, some espresso, raisins and dates and some subtle maple. This is a solid brew, which should not be ignored! Prost!!

Pours a clear dark browb with a moderate tan head.
Smells of maple, malt.
Good mouth feel.
Nice sweet taste. Maple and malt.
