Finishing up the last 2 cans (12oz) from a 6-pack picked up at Queen City last September. Canned 16MAY24, and label notes "10th Anniversary Edition".
Quaffing from a Willi Becher glass... pours a lovely, dark, clear mahogany. Has a creamy, 1/2" tan head which ebbs rapidly down to a covering layer, with light lacing. Has a malty nose, with caramel, toffee and brown bread present. Body is medium to medium-plus, with a mostly prickle-free feel on the tongue.
Flavor pretty much copies the aroma. Brown bread, caramelized brown sugar, toffee and more caramel. Very nicely malty!! Finish has some subtle, earthy hopping. A solid DBock from the crew at Queen City! Prost!!
