Picked up a growler of this during a QCB visit in late August of 2024. Has been waiting patiently for me in my cellar.... until now! Ready to dive in after a few hours of rigorous snow shoveling....
Pours a dense, opaque black, with nary a hint of light penetrating. Up top sits a lovely mocha-hued dollop of foam. It started at about 1" but has ebbed to a nice covering layer, with solid lacing. Aroma has some licorice, plus hints of raisins and dates. Body is a solid medium, with a very smooth feel on the tongue.
Flavor has some dark choco, cocoa powder, and more licorice. Also has some molasses, plus more dates and raisins. Has an earthy, slightly floral hop finish. A solid QCB beer! Cheers!

Tasted as part of a sampler at the brew.
Pours a dark almost black color with a small head.
Smells some of licorice.
Good mouth feel.
Alcohol is subdued.
Clearly a porter, not a stout.
Yummy, refreshing.
